Ökologisch effiziente Nährstoffversorgung von Ackerkulturen

Die Ernährung landwirtschaftlicher Kulturen ist ein Schlüsselprozess der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion. Die Forschung im Bereich Pflanzenernährung muss die wissenschaftliche Grundlage für eine optimale Nährstoffversorgung der Kulturen liefern, die sicherstellt, dass die Ernten die Erwartungen bezüglich Qualität und Quantität erfüllen und gleichzeitig die negativen Umweltwirkungen beschränkt werden. Ziel der in diesem Tätigkeitsfeld durchgeführten Projekte ist es, für eine ausreichende Nährstoffversorgung der landwirtschaftlichen Kulturen geeignete Konzepte und Techniken, diagnostische Systeme und angepasste Bewirtschaftungsmethoden zu entwickeln und dabei die natürlichen Ressourcen und die Umwelt zu schonen. Damit dieses Ziel erreicht werden kann, beinhaltet die Forschung im Bereich Pflanzenernährung sowohl Projekte mit angewandter Forschung als auch solche mit anwendungsorientierter Grundlagenforschung.
