Animal welfare is one of the key agricultural policy goals. Therefore, we here aim to investigate different aspects of animal welfare. In WP1, we aim to investigate public preferences for specific housing systems. Following a system-approach, WP2 complements the findings from WP1, where consumer-level interventions will be investigated, by adding insights on farm-level interventions. We will investigate specific interventions at farm-level to reduce climate impact of cattle farming and assess public acceptance thereof. With that, we aim to further contribute to a scientific basis for decision-making and recommendations on measures to make the nutrition system more sustainable by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
