ENOWINE: Enhancing wine quality
To increase the competitiveness of foods produced in Switzerland, Swiss agriculture must stand out through their excellent quality and added value compared to industrial or imported products. For the wine industry, both oenological and analytical research is necessary to help enhance the quality of wines.
The development of wine-growing and oenological trials carried out at Agroscope must also be able to rely on reliable, high-performance analyses that are adapted to needs. To this end, it is necessary to consolidate our analytical techniques, particularly non-destructive infrared techniques. Collaboration with external partners is also being established with this in mind. The research and analysis of chemical markers of the taste and nutritional quality of wines also aim to promote wines resulting from selection and experimentation at Agroscope and consequently to enhance the value of wines produced in Switzerland.
