While a large variety of methods exist for the environmental risk evaluation of plant protection products (PPPs), a modular set of tools for reproducible and transparent assessments, scalable from single fields to all of Switzerland, and integrating the most important exposure pathways is lacking. Existing databases of ecotoxicological endpoints are often incomplete or lack detailed source references.

In this project, we address this situation by continuing our development of a) a version-controlled endpoint database with traceable source information and b) fully documented Open Source calculation routines for estimating exposure and effects. These tools are continuously used on application data generated in various projects that our group is involved in.
