SUNRISE: Supporting the agroecological transition through Living Lab networks

SUNRISE fosters the agroecological transition by establishing agroecological living labs (AELLs) across 10 European countries. These sub-regional or regional labs unite multi-actor teams (MATs) engaged in agroecological practices, including farmers (organic and conventional), advisors, agribusinesses, civil society organizations, policymakers, and researchers. The Swiss living lab consists of around 30 farms, focusing on the use of agroecological management practices to improve soil health. Through close interactions between research, farmers, and stakeholders of the agri-food system, SUNRISE aims at advancing a transition to more environmentally friendly, economically viable and socially just agroecological systems.
