Switzerland gave a presentation about the seed potatoes certification scheme in this country. Since 2016, analyses are performed by RT-qPCR in Switzerland. Both PVY and PLRV are monitored for all seed lots. The sampling method was recently adapted in order to be more efficient. This process is also under continuous optimizations by seed potato producers in order to limit the increase of aphid-borne virus transmission due to climate change. The use of prebasic lots is increasing, such as the use of nets to protect mainly prebasic generations. Straw mulching is also a method of interest used mostly abroad and more convenient for larger fields.
