This database complements Versions 1 and 2 of the Diary Study on Food Waste in Swiss Households and provides additional data on self-reported food waste frequency before and after the diary study, daily food waste quantities (Days 1–7, expressed in grams per capita), and support for government food waste reduction policies. Data on self-reported food waste frequency and daily food waste quantities were collected from 515 households, while data on support for government food waste reduction policies were obtained from a subsample of 454 households. The sample covers households from the German-, French-, and Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland. All data included in the database have been translated into English.
