FARM4HH: Food waste reduction measures for households

In this SNF funded project, we address some of the gaps by quantifying household food waste and quantify food waste in Swiss households in the German-, French- and Italian-speaking parts of Switzerland, using a previously tested online diary method (WP1). Next, we identify interdependencies between measures by political and value chain actors to reduce household food waste (WP2). Selected reduction measures are tested for consumer acceptance within the scope of WP3. Finally, using a randomised controlled trial in WP4, three food waste interventions will be tested and compared to a control group in terms of their effectiveness for food waste reduction in households.
