Informazioni complementari

Particular interests include reproductive traits (seed biology and vegetative reproduction), morpho-anatomy (microtome), population genetics (microsatellites and SNPs), plant risk assessment, and the application of statistical and spatial analyses to invasion ecology.

Research within the Neobiota Research Group at Agroscope focuses on the ecology, biology, spread, and management of invasive alien species. Current research activities investigate the reproductive strategies, population dynamics, and invasive potential of species such as Abutilon theophrasti, Asclepias syriaca, Erigeron annuus, Reynoutria spp. and Sorghum halepense. Research combines laboratory, controlled-environment, greenhouse, and field studies to better understand invasion processes, assess their impacts on agricultural systems and natural ecosystems, and support the development of effective management strategies.

The Neobiota Research Group (Plant Protection Research Division) is based at the Cadenazzo Research Campus, a multidisciplinary centre that brings together Agroscope, the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL, Agridea, and the Swiss Federal Plant Protection Service.
