The main objective of EquiKnow is to ensure the knowledge exchange in the equine sector to improve the performance of equine farms and to ensure the sustainability and SLO of horse-related activities. The instruments for achieving this goal are organised into 5 work packages.
WP1 is dedicated to consultancy and expertise services. Political bodies, executive authorities, equine farmers and all other equine sector’s stakeholders have a single point of contact to address their questions.
WP2 brings together all the teaching and training activities for different target audiences, according to the needs and demands of the equine and agricultural sector. WP 2 also covers the publication of technical documents intended for practical use.
WP3 aims to establish a Swiss “equine farms network” that will be used for on-farm research, knowledge exchange and knowledge dissemination.
WP4 is dedicated to monitoring the trends in the Swiss equine sector and evaluating the impact of dissemination activities.
WP5 includes the European “EUnetHorse” project dedicated to knowledge transfer for equine farmers, whose dissemination tasks overlaps optimally with the one of the EquiKnow project.
