This dataset contains field-based measurements from multiple vegetable crops grown under field conditions with defined row and plant spacing. Crops were monitored throughout the growing season (April–October), with repeated sampling to capture plant growth and developmental dynamics over time.
The dataset includes planting parameters such as planting date, row spacing, plant spacing and plant density. Plant-level measurements comprise of plant height, diameter (length and width), number of leaves, fresh plant weight, and leaf area. In addition, developmental stage was recorded using the BBCH scale. An additional variable captures crop–worker interaction through a measure of crop contact during field operations.
Together, the dataset supports analyses of crop growth dynamics, phenological development and plant architecture under field conditions, and can be used for agronomic and exposure-related modelling.
