The Forum VitiOeno serves as a platform to connect stakeholders in the Swiss wine industry in conversation to address burning challenges. These challenges often vary from year to year, making the Forum a unique and dynamic co-creation process that complements Agroscope’s regular Stakeholder Workshops held every four years. To maintain continuity and promote exchange between all regions of Switzerland, it is essential to prioritize project ideas emerging from this annual process. Each year, relevant topics are proposed by stakeholders, prioritized collaboratively, and translated into short research proposals. These are then implemented, assessed and discussed at the subsequent Forum. The Forum focuses on three main areas: plant protection, viticulture and winemaking. This project Forum VitiOeno builds on these pillars and represents an interdisciplinary collaboration across several Agroscope research groups. The goal is to incorporate short-term challenges into Agroscope’s research planning in a way that is both efficient and sustainable. Co-creation internally and externally is an essential principle of Agroscope, which is embodied within this project.
