Versuchsstation VD

Swiss wine sector is facing significant challenges due to climate change and the need to reduce environmental impact. Addressing these factors is critical to maintaining the high quality of Swiss wines and ensuring consumer confidence.
To address these challenges, Agroscope has established experimental stations that bridge the gap between scientific research and practical application. This project is part of this effort and focuses on promoting sustainability in the wine sector by conserving natural resources - such as water, carbon, minerals and organic matter - while reducing input and energy consumption in the cellar. The experimental station in Vaud (VD), second Switzerland's wine-producing region, serves as a hub for innovation addressing key practical issues.
This initiative is based on a strong collaboration between Agroscope and the Canton of Vaud. The project promotes knowledge sharing and accelerates the practical application of innovations throughout Switzerland. Research will be conducted into the cellar of Changins, owned by the State of Vaud. By serving as a model for co-creation and applied research.
