As a GIS specialist, I support researchers in working with spatial data and geographical information systems. My responsibilities include the preparation and analysis of extensive spatial datasets. These are used, for example, to evaluate suitable field trial sites or to carry out environmental analyses of field experiments.

For fieldwork, I design and develop specific field-mapping applications tailored to the researchers’ specific questions and workflows. As a certified drone pilot, I collect remote sensing data in the field in accordance with scientific standards and subsequently process this photogrammetrically for the research projects.

In the ALL-EMA monitoring program, I create and maintain the spatial databases and prepare baseline data annually for the field season. In addition, I evaluate and maintain field equipment and support the mappers in the field.
