The AgriPV-Sustain project evaluates the impact of agrivoltaic systems on berries, fruits, and other high-value crops, focusing on yield, quality, and sustainability. By combining solar energy production with agriculture, it investigates the effects of PV shading on crop growth, water use, and stress resilience. A holistic sustainability assessment, including Life Cycle Assessment, will quantify environmental, economic, and social impacts. The project provides key insights to optimize agrivoltaic practices, enhance land use efficiency, and support adoption in Swiss agriculture. Coordination with stakeholders ensures relevance for policy and industry, contributing to Switzerland’s agricultural and energy transition.
