Building on Agroscope’s expertise and collaboration with stakeholders, it focuses on 8 areas: co-creation, optimized nutrient management, innovative biocontrol and disease forecasting, sustainable substrates, robotics and digital tools, variety testing under climate change, monitoring of human health-related microbial risks, and biodiversity promotion. SmartBerry will deliver practical guidelines, risk models, decision-support tools, and validated technologies, directly supporting Swiss agricultural policy, reducing pesticide and peat use, enhancing climate resilience, and improving food safety.
