FairChains: Répartition équitable de la valeur ajoutée du secteur agroalimentaire suisse - perception et options d'action

The project seeks to explore the perceptions and understanding of fair value distribution within Swiss agricultural and food supply chains. Under the leadership of Judith Irek, and involving a team of experts in agricultural economics, consumer behavior, and policy, the project analyzes current concepts related to the fair distribution of costs and revenues among stakeholders such as farmers, consumers, processors, and retailers.
The goal is to identify consensus and disagreements among these actors regarding what constitutes a fair price, also integrating environmental and health costs into the pricing mechanisms. The project employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research tools including comprehensive literature reviews, surveys, and interviews to gather insights from various stakeholders.
We aim to provide empirical data that can inform the development of policies promoting fair pricing and sustainable practices in the food supply chain. This effort is particularly significant given the ongoing discussions about "fair prices" and market share dynamics, with the potential to influence regulatory frameworks in Switzerland.
