ADiMiA: Évaluation de la diversité des microbiomes dans les écosystèmes agricoles: de la biodiversité à l'utilité pour la pratique

Microbiomes provide numerous ecosystem services in agricultural systems creating a large potential for agricultural practices to increase productivity and sustainability of agroecosystems. The ADiMiA project follows an inter- and transdisciplinary approach to study a broad range of diverse microbiomes and their functions in agroecosystems. The main goal is to ensure and continuously expand the expertise on molecular microbiome analyses at Agroscope, which was established over the last decade. This will be achieved on the one hand by continuously adapting microbiome analyses to newly emerging standards and technologies from sampling to bioinformatic and statistical analyses. On the other hand, we will study specific habitats and experiments of interest to characterize the roles and management options of agricultural microbiomes. The ecology of selected microbial groups such as biocontrol agents will be studied to best harness the beneficial powers of microbiomes.
