Adattamento della produzione foraggera ai cambiamenti climatici

Ce projet a pour but de tester des agroécosystèmes de production fourragère innovants et durables, qui puissent produire dans un contexte de changements climatiques, tout en assurant de nombreuses fonctions écosystémiques. Les nouveaux systèmes proposés au sein de projet seront adaptés aussi bien aux prairies temporaires que permanentes.

En raison des changements climatiques actuels et à venir, principalement liés aux sécheresses et canicules estivales, la production fourragère suisse est fortement menacée. Développer de nouvelles techniques et systèmes de culture fourragère résistant et résilient aux changements climatiques est donc d’une grande importante pour pallier aux pertes de rendement et de qualité du fourrage. Les objectifs du projet seront:

  1. de tester de nouvelles dérobées avec des espèces à bonne productivité, qualité fourragère et faibles besoins en eaux,
  2. d’améliorer la résistance et la résilience à la sécheresse des mélanges de longue durée pour les prairies temporaires de montagne,
  3. de créer de nouveaux systèmes agroforestiers de production fourragère avec l’installation de haies fourragères en prairie permanente, et
  4. d’optimiser les techniques d’irrigation durant les périodes de sécheresse.
