Aspetti economici della trasformazione resiliente e sostenibile del sistema alimentare

The study will analyse the possible impacts of different measures on the food system under future conditions. We will analyse actors in the food system by specifically looking at the economic aspects, while addressing synergies and trade-offs with environmental, societal and political aspects.
The project will consist of an interdisciplinary team, and use economic modelling and life cycle assessment methods. The project will consist of four work packages and have a stagewise process. In work package 1, we will assess the impacts of future conditions on the food system under uncertainties. In work package 2, we will analyse the impacts of increasing plant-based production and consumption in the future. Work package 3 will assess the impacts of having side streams as food products. In work package 4, we will study the impacts of policy, technological, trade and diet change measures on the food system.
The results of the study will provide information on resilient and sustainable food production and consumption that improves nutrition and health of consumers, while improving or maintaining incomes, employment and production quantity of producers.
