PigWel: garantire la salute e il benessere dei suini

Ensuring high standards of pig welfare and health is crucial for the sustainability of modern pig farming. The PigWel project aims to improve pig welfare by enhancing management practices, optimizing housing conditions, and promoting species-appropriate feeding strategies. Specifically, the project investigates pigs' behavioral preferences for various resources, validates novel animal-based welfare indicators, and evaluates on-farm management strategies to enhance pig welfare and health.
