TVIV: progetto sulle risorse Terres Vivantes

TVIV26-27 covers end-phase activities of Terres Vivantes, a Ressource Project led by the Fondation Rurale Interjurassienne (FRI). Started in 2019 and running for farmers until 2024, the project aims to improve soil structural quality in the Jura region. It is interdisciplinary (social, biological and soil sciences) and participatory: farmers monitor soil health with VESS, earthworm and bug counts, and an electronic field calendar. The approach is bottom-up: farmers test soil-improvement measures and combinations on their own fields. A point system calculates subsidies and, more importantly, helps tailor site-specific, farmer-adapted packages. Scientists then monitor and study the outcomes. Regular exchanges among farmers, advisors, and researchers reduced the science–practice gap and supported innovation. With data now collected for 2019–2024, TVIV26-27 focuses on integrating, analyzing, and interpreting results, and turning them into clear guidance for practice and policy.
