Jeanine Ammann studied food science at ETH Zurich and worked for several years in food quality assurance. After completing a PhD on food aversion and spending several years conducting research and teaching at university level, she moved to Agroscope, where she now studies consumer behaviour across the food value chain. Her research focuses on food waste, policy measures, smart farming, agricultural policy, food choice and the overarching goal of a sustainable food value chain. She has experience in experimental studies (eye-tracking, virtual reality, sensory analysis), surveys (qualitative and quantitative) and literature reviews.
